Canawacta Rod & Gun Club is a membership supported, private hunting, fishing and shooting facility located in the north east corner of Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. We are always looking for new members that want to be a part of a growing and changing club. Please see our Membership Page for more information on joining our family of sportsmen and women. The Club itself features a wide range of shooting opportunities available to our members and their guests as well as hunting and fishing opportunities. Regular members enjoy 24/7 access to all the facilities and ranges.

Our clubhouse on Oak Hill has all the comforts of home and is setup up for meetings & events. We have a full kitchen, tv`s, internet, restrooms and a wonderful deck to enjoy all the views !

Our Rifle Range
The Rifle Range @ Canawacta Rod & Gun Club provides a 50 &100 Yard Range, there are 5 shooting benches available to our members at this location , 3 are located inside the shack and 2 outside the shack. Our benches were made for both Right-Handed and Left-Handed Shooters to enjoy bench rest shooting, target practice or just sighting in your rifles.
A Big Thank You to ( Al Harcar ) for constructing all of our shooting benches on all of our ranges !
For your convenience we have 2 gun racks, a large shelf on the back wall for all your gear bags and on each side of the shack we have 1 trash can and 1 brass buckets so, please police the area before you leave and throw all trash and brass in the appropriate cans.
*** As Of April 2018 ***
1 ) AR-15 rifles CAN be used on the rifle range but, ONLY AT THE 100 YARD BACK STOP !
2 ) AR-15 rifles are NOT to be used on the rifle range at our 50 yard backstop !
Please go up to our pistol pit area for 25 & 50 yard shooting !

Our Tactical Pistol Pit
This area was constructed for handicap accessibility in part by a grant from the NRA Foundation.
We have 3 shooting lanes in our Tactical Pistol Pit !
Two of our outside lanes feature target backers ( Black Mats ) to staple paper targets to in addition, shooters have two 6 inch round AR-500 / 1/2 inch steel / gong plates & below those are two 4 inch round AR-500 / 1/2 inch steel / gong plates.
Our center target lane features the following, two profile targets made from AR-500 / 1/2 steel gong plates this lane also features, two 6 inch round AR-500 / 1/2 inch steel / gong plates & below those are two 4 inch round AR-500 / 1/2 inch steel / gong plates.
*** 22. Rimfire & All Pistol Calibers are allowed in this area ***

Canawacta has 2 trap fields available for use, they are referred to as the Upper and Lower Trap Fields.
Open trap practice for ALL TRAP SHOOTERS happens every Thursday beginning at 5:30pm.
Both trap fields are fully automatic with voice release, Canawacta was the first club in Susquehanna County to get an automatic trap.
Canawacta Rod & Gun Club has 4 Trap Teams that shoot for our club in Susquehanna County and we also host the Susquehanna County Trap League each year where 100+ shooters come out to have some fun !

3-D WALK THROUGH ARCHERY RANGE
Newly added to our grounds for 2018 is our 3-D Archery Range. You can find our 3-D Range above our upper trap unit.
This range was put together for all skill levels with a total of five stations on site....

Features a 2 Speed Bag Free Standing / Target Stand
Rated For 400 fps
Distance / 20 Yards
Archers can practice there shot groups here using a bow or crossbow before moving onto our 3-D targets.

We have introduced to the left side of our upper trap house a place for our members to pattern their shotguns in.
The new constructed bench was set up at 25 yards and behind the bench, you will find a ground marker with 40 yards written on the marker !
No guess work here....... We did all the work for you all.

Fishing Pond
One of the pride and joys of Canawacta is our fishing pond. Members young & old alike use the pond all year round. The pond is restricted to catch and release only. Our pond is also the site of Canawacta`s Annual Fishing Derby typically held in July. Go to our Events Page for more info !
